Adventure Bay Amusement Center
The long anticipated Adventure Bay Amusement Park opened to the public last year and was great fun and adventure for guests of all ages. Just a few of the attractions include a redemption Arcade, Video Games and Ride Simulators, Brunswick's Virtual Bowling Lanes, Animaland Stuff your own Collectible Animal, Water Blaster Bumper Boats, Water Wars, Batting and Soccer cages, Sport fishing Simulator, remote control boats, kiddie rides and an electric go cart track!!
Antique Car Museum
Put in Bay's Antique Car Museum showcases an impressive collection of Model T Fords and vintage snowmobiles that make their home on South Bass Island. Head to downtown Put-in-bay every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. to watch a parade of the antique cars and catch candy tossed out to the crowd of bay visitors. Admission to this Putinbay attraction is free.
Antique Car Parade
The Put-in-Bay Antique Car Parade is a Put-in-Bay tradition since the 1990's. Charles "Skip" Duggan co-started the popular Sunday afternoon antique car parades and welcomed everyone with an antique and/or vintage car to join in the parade and fun. Since then, every Sunday afternoon island car owners gather at the old Twine Shanty on Langram Ave. (just north of the Miller Ferry dock). Around 2:00 p.m. the parade starts and the PIB Police lead a tour of the entire island.
At the Put-in-Bay Aquatic Visitors Center, the whole family can learn about the marine life living around the Lake Erie Islands. With the free fishing equipment, public dock, and no license needed, everyone is welcome to fish the bay! The Ohio Division of Wildlife runs this center, which is complete with live fish displays, hands-on exhibits, the history of the center as the former state hatchery, and a children's playroom. Open from late May to September. Free admission.

The Butterfly House at Putinbay is home to more than 500 types of butterflies from the Ohio islands and around the world. Captain Bruce has been a Lake Erie fishing charter captain for more than 28 years. He consistently and successfully guides anglers to catch Walleye, Perch and Smallmouth Bass. The Chocolate Museum is a must for any chocoholic visiting Put in Bay! Stop by to learn about the history of chocolate, including where it grows and how it is made. More than 100 kinds of fine chocolate are on sale, as are coffees that are roasted right on the island.
South Bass Island is home to the world's largest geode, otherwise known as Crystal Cave on Put-In-Bay. Tours are offered down into the cave, 40 feet below the Earth's surface seven days a week for $6 ($3 for children). Located one mile from downtown Putinbay at Heineman's Winery.

This beautiful park in downtown Put in Bay is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view of Lake Erie or people-watch on Delaware Avenue. Located a mile west of downtown Put-in-Bay, the Aquatic Visitors Center (AVC) lets visitors experience Lake Erie science through up-close and hands-on exhibits that include several native Lake Erie fish and invasive species like Asian carp. Families can inspect Lake Erie’s complex ecosystem through displays, observe fish and other Lake Erie inhabitants in large aquaria, and learn about current Lake Erie research.
Race the clock or your friends and family at Fort Amaze'n, Putinbay's maze challenge at Perry's Cave Family Fun Center. Visitors mark their times as they start the maze, then race to find special stops before finding the exit. An observation tower over the maze gives people the chance to cheer their friends on as they try to find their way out of this island attraction!
Visitors to Perry's Cave Family Fun Center can pan for treasure at this Put in Bay attraction! After purchasing a bag of rough mix, run water over it and begin to sift; you'll discover real gems and fossils. Uncut geodes are also available to be bought, then cut by Perry's Cave staff while you watch!

Lake Erie Islands Historical Museum
This beautiful and educational three-building museum is dedicated to the rich history of the Lake Erie Islands and Put-in-Bay. Walk through the Transportation Building filled with boats or view the models of some of the greatest ships to sail Lake Erie. Learn about the demise of the Hotel Victory, the Ohio islands winemaking industry and island genealogy. Check the calendar for children's events, lectures, tours and Elderhostels. Admission is $2.00 or $5.00 for an entire family.
Heineman's Winery, which has been making wine on the island for more than 100 years, offers tours of Putinbay's winery, as well as wine and grape juice tasting in their beautiful wine garden. It is also home to Crystal Cave, the world's largest geode. Visitors can tour the awe-inspiring cave, which kept the winery running during Prohibition when wine couldn't be produced. Admission is $6.00 ($3.00 kids).

This helicopter tour will show you the gorgeous scenery such as Cedar Point, Port Clinton, and of course the beautiful island of Put-In-Bay. The tour is proximity 12 miles in length.
Kayak The Bay
If you can ride a bike, you can kayak Ã¢â‚¬â€œ this is an activity that's fun for the whole family. Kayak the Bay offers single and double sit-on-top and sit-in kayaks for cruising Lake Erie around the Ohio islands. Stay in the harbor or go on an adventure around the island. Floats, water bikes and ski tubes are also available for rent. Located one block from the Jet Express.
You can hear the carnival-esque music from this 1917 Herschel carousel from down the street. Kimberly's Carousel is one of the last merry-go-rounds in operation in the country, and South Bass Island is proud to be its home! Take a ride on a chicken, pig, rooster, cow or the island favorite Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Pete the Perch. Tickets can be purchased inside The Carriage House for $1.50.
Laser tag is a team or individual sport or recreational activity where players attempt to score points by tagging targets, typically with a hand-held infrared-emitting targeting device. Infrared-sensitive targets are commonly worn by each player and are sometimes integrated within the arena in which the game is played.
At Island Moped Rentals, mopeds are a fun and exciting way to see Put in Bay island at your own pace. OSU Stone Labs
Created in 1895 and located on the 6.5-acre Gibraltar Island at Put in Bay, Frantz Theodore Stone Laboratory is Ohio's Lake Erie laboratory. It is the nation's oldest freshwater biological field station and the Island Campus of The Ohio State University. The Laboratory offers college-level courses each summer with faculty and students coming from all over the country. Since 1990, students from 40 Ohio colleges, 27 out-of-state colleges, and 257 high schools have taken these courses for college credit. The Laboratory also provides a facility for year-round research, offers special conference facilities and speakers, and develops and offers custom-designed Aquatic Workshop programs for grades 4 through adult with over 5,000 participants annually.
Parasailing is a spectacular way to see Put-in-Bay from a 600-foot towline. Taking off and landing on boats equipped with flight decks, you stay dry! Or, on especially hot days, you have the option of getting wet in Lake Erie if you choose. Parasailing is safe and fun for ages 3 and up. No experience or athletic ability required. Located one block from the Jet Express dock.
Take a tour of one of Put-in-Bay's most well known historical attractions. Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry discovered Perry's Cave on South Bass Island during the War of 1812. The underground lake in the cave provided his men with fresh drinking water. Visitors can take tours of Putinbay's secret limestone cave, which last about 20 minutes. Bring a sweatshirt or jacket Ã¢â‚¬â€œ it's about 50 degrees down there! Admission is $7.50 ($4.50 kids).
Perry's Victory And International Peace Memorial
South Bass Island is proud to be home to the Perry Peace Memorial and Visitors Center at Put in Bay. The memorial honors Oliver Hazard Perry and the battle in Lake Erie that was crucial to the American victory in the War of 1812. By taking an elevator up 317 feet, visitors are treated to a view of all of Put-in-Bay and the other Ohio islands. Don't miss a film about the war, a gift shop, and living history demonstrations put on by island park rangers.
Putinbay Jet Ski
Jet skiing in Put-in-Bay can be a wonderful way to enjoy the sights and see our little part of beautiful Lake Erie. Call for special "Early Bird" discounts on rates and tours! Kids ride free with paid adult. There are half-hour, full hour, and jet ski tour rates offered. The closest jet ski rental to downtown Put in Bay, within walking distance of all the main hotels!
Compete with remote control cars on a specially constructed banked track at the Put in Bay Raceway. Great fun for all ages. For only $2.00 per racer, you can challenge up to four other Bay racers to a 2 1/2 minute race on the oval track. These little cars reach speeds of more than 50 miles per hour, which is the fastest you can drive on South Bass Island!
Putt-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals, located at the end of Catawba Avenue in South Bass Island State Park, offers visitors to Put-in-Bay water rides for the entire family. Come enjoy a water vista like no other during your island adventure. Jet skis, waverunners, fishing boats, dinghies and kayaks are available. Refreshments sold nearby at the top of the hill.

Put-In-Bay Yacht Club
The Put-in-Bay Yacht Club (PIBYC) is located on South Bass Island in the western end of Lake Erie. They are dedicated to promoting all forms of yachting, power boating, sailing, and other aquatic sports. Annual Put-in-Bay events include cruise outs, picnics, parties, and numerous other social functions. PIBYC is host to the Inter-Lake Yachting Association (I-LYA) Annual Regatta and other national and international sailing events. Put-in-Bay Yacht Club is also a member of the Associated Yacht Clubs (AYC); members are encouraged to participate in AYC sailing and cruising events.
Rock Climbing Wall
Be the first to climb to the top of our 25-ft. tall rock wall and ring the bell. Our trained staff will make sure you are securely attached into the harness and safety rope. There are 4 sides with varying degrees of difficulty. Try them all and get a birds-eye view of the park.
Saunders Resort Golf Course
Saunders Golf Course, located near South Bass Island State Park, features a 9-hole par three and four challenge for golfers of all ages. The course is nestled on 19 acres of the wooded area of Put in Bay. Saunders golf course has a rating of 35 and slope rating of 150. Golf club rental is available on site.
South Bass Island State Park
The South Bass Island State Park is a great place to camp, but there's plenty to do for Putinbay visitors who aren't staying there. Find a stone beach, temporary dockage, jet ski rentals, a refreshment stand, volleyball, umbrella picnic tables, a playground, fishing pier, glacial grooves and the ruins of the Hotel Victory to explore. The park has an amazing view of Lake Erie, especially for sunsets, and is an overall great destination for everyone.
Stonehenge Historic Home Tour
Stonehenge Historic Home gives Put in Bay visitors a look at life on South Bass Island during the 1800s. The self-guided cassette tours of these National Register of Historic Places guide you through the stone farmhouse, wine press cottage, wine cellar, winter display area and landscaped grounds. The gift shop has some of Put-in-Bay's most unique souvenirs on the island. Open daily 11:00-5:00.
There's no better way to learn some Ohio history and see South Bass Island than riding the Put in Bay Tour Train around the bay. For $10 for adults and $3.50 for kids, you can learn about the Lake Erie Islands and have the option of stopping at Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial, Heineman Winery and Crystal Cave, and Perry's Cave Family Fun Center.
